An abstract portrait of a young red headed woman. Digital analysis of a photograph has been used to determine the colour palette and colour weighting. The abstraction of the portrait has been inspired in some party by the paintings of Wassily Kandinsky.

This work was produced in response to a video work made by Australian artist David Harley as part of the exhibition Drawing on the Wall (7th Feb -27th Mar 2020) at the Deakin Downtown Art Gallery.
The work is a digital painting that explores spacial relationships and gestures. The still image is in contrast to the animated and three dimensional produced by David Harley making this work feel as though it is a moment in time
